Here in Greeley we’re thankful that we get to enjoy the work of groups like The Stampede Troupe, Greeley’s oldest continuous community theater organization. Right now, that group is up for 10 nominations in the 2018 BroadwayWorld Denver Awards for their summer production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”

Stampede Troupe Nominations include:

You might also see another Greeley theater group listed in the nominations.  The Little Theatre of the Rockies is a professional summer stock theatre that is owned and operated by the School of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Northern Colorado.

Their performance was absolutely brilliant and had a production value that rivaled and exceeded many touring productions. If you want to cast a vote for the Stampede Troup and show some support for local theater, you can do it on the BroadwayWorld website through December 31, 2018.

The Stampede Troupe got their start in 1974 and since then, more than 1,000 community artists have participated in more than 100 theatrical productions.

Some of their upcoming shows include “A Christmas Story”, “The Ghost of the Chief Theater”, “Murder by Natural Causes”, and “Guys and Dolls”. Get ticket info at UCStars.com.
