Last year, Greeley Unexpected featured Community Art. Since then, Greeley has added more art. Here is more information about three new murals in Downtown Greeley. These projects were completed in the late-spring and early-summer of 2018.

Art is the Point by Eleanor Yates

The east facing wall of this tidy old building at 809 10th Street got a major facelift with this new mural. Local artist Eleanor Yates has painted over one hundred murals across the globe ranging in size from a few feet to five stories tall. Up close, her new Greeley mural looks like hundreds if not thousands of dots, but from a short distance, the picture becomes crisp and distinct.

Buffalo by Armando Silva

This beautiful and colorful mural is located at the back of 1320 8th Avenue.

8th Street Plaza Walkway by Frank Garza

Greeley’s downtown plazas are connected via a partially covered walkway. It’s now decorated with seven two-part panels. This project features images of classic downtown events juxtaposed with current day themes.  Themes overlap to visually connect the panels with the adjacent Art Alley.
