A Walk in Their Shoes: A Simulated Refugee Experience @ Centennial Village Museum
Sep 24 @ 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

“A Walk in Their Shoes” is a refugee simulation event created by the UNHCR to bring real experiences and people going through tragic circumstances in life.

As a participant you will be given an identity other than your own, one that is without whatever privileges you may or may not have as a citizen of this country. In taking on another name an identity, you will go through a series of events that force your character to leave his or her home. Once gone, you and your team will have to make choices to ensure your character’s safety as various obstacles are put in your way.

Registration is $25 for adults and $15 dollars for students under 18 years of age. The event is recommended for middle school ages and up, contact Joni Lopez at if you have any questions.
Ticket includes multicultural food, event costs and a t-shirt.
