If you’ve never been to the Poudre Learning Center (PLC), you’re missing out. It consists of three miles of hiking trails, sixty-five acres of prairie, wetlands, access to the Cache la Poudre River, an 18-acre learning lake, and an indoor learning center. The PLC opened just over ten years ago, and has grown to the point where tens of thousands of students visit every year.
Part of what makes the PLC so special is the time and effort put in by volunteers…and they need more. If you have a passion for learning and the outdoors you could be a volunteer during school experience visits.
The Poudre Learning Center will be hosting a one-day orientation on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 9 am to 2 pm for anyone interested in working with school groups. All are welcome—current and prospective volunteers, people of all backgrounds!
“Volunteers are the lifeblood of the PLC, and we essentially could not do what we do without them, which is why it is so important for us to keep recruiting passionate people to help out when they can.” -Holly Scott, Poudre Learning Center
This is your invitation to go see what the Poudre Learning Center is all about, and how you can help. To RSVP for the orientation, or to get more information, call the PLC at 970-352-1267 or email Holly.
