If you’re looking for the best-tasting water in the Rocky Mountain Region, you don’t travel any further than Greeley, Colorado. This recognition comes from judges at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Section of the American Water Works (RMSAWWA) annual conference. Nine different municipalities in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico participated and were judged on taste, odor, and appearance.
Greeley Water took the title of tastiest water, while Castle Rock Water came in second, and the Animas Water Company came in third. Greeley will now represent the region at the national “Best of the Best” taste test at the American Water Works Association Conference in June.
Thanks to all of the hard-working folks at the water department that make our water, the best-of-the-best.
The RMSAWWA is the regional section for the AWWA, which is the largest non-profit, science-based organization for drinking water professionals in the world. The RMSAWWA covers Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico and has over 2,400 members, representing water utilities, engineering consultants and water treatment specialty firms.
