On July 22, 2017, the first annual Ride & Revel! Cycling event will start and finish in downtown Greeley, Colorado. For avid cyclists, there are 20 and 55-mile rides, and if that’s too intense for you there is a shorter family ride where you can enjoy snacks and activities at the Family Aide Station in Island Grove Regional Park and go on to explore the Poudre River Trail. At the end of the ride, participants will enjoy a prepared meal and a beer crafted just for the event! Greeley is home to a number of award-winning craft breweries and WeldWerks, Wiley Roots, Broken Plow, Crabtree, Brix, and Grand Lake Brewing are all participating!
Ride and Revel! Is encouraging everyone to make a weekend out of it. The night before the race enjoy go-cup on the 8th Street Plaza at Friday Fest with a performance from the legendary Hazel Miller. Experience the food and shopping in the area, and even take a tour of any and all of the breweries while you are in town.
To sweeten the deal, the ride is for a good cause in that proceeds benefit Senior Resource Services, a non-profit, which provides transportation and caregiver respite to Weld County seniors.
Events like this are a fun way to bring people to town and let them experience Greeley for themselves. As research shows, when people visit Greeley, they’re often pleasantly surprised and see how the city is bigger, more diverse, and more appealing than what they’d ever imagined.
We have a good thing going on here in Greeley and we’re proud when anyone shows it off.
