Appreciating the Spectrum of LGBTQIA

This presentation provides information, definitions, and statistics regarding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender persons living in our community.

Appropriate respectful language is important when speaking with or about LGBTQIA family members and neighbors. In addition, strategies for addressing unique identified challenges faced by LGBTQIA individuals and their families will be discussed. Furthermore, local and national resources will be offered.

The presenter will be the Rev. Rick Mawson, a retired minister and licensed family therapist. Rick is a Commissioner on the Human Relations Commission and is also the Vice-President of the Greeley PFLAG Chapter.

The City of Greeley Communications & Engagement Office offers free training opportunities. These classes promote diversity and inclusion in Greeley. Classes are free. Please RSVP before the day of the class.
