On March 9-10, 2018, the Colorado Bar Association will be hosting the State High School Mock Trial tournament here in Greeley. This will be the 33rd annual tournament and will feature 28 teams competing, including Greeley’s University High School.

More than 100 high school teams participat in Colorado’s mock trial program. Approximately 1,500 students perform as attorneys and/or witnesses in a court case. Hundreds of attorneys, judges, teachers, and other community leaders volunteer their time to instruct students about the judicial system and the trial process through this educational program.

Lots of students, teachers, parents, spectators, Judges, attorneys, and others will be in town for the event, with a chance to discover Downtown Greeley. And they’ll  get to experience the beautiful Weld County Courthouse, which just turned 100 last year. (Check out this video from Discover Weld.)

The program is also looking for volunteers as part of this educational experience.
